International Lottery Associations
Currently, there are mainly two international lottery associations in the world, namely the World Lottery Association (WLA) and the Asia Pacific Lottery Association (APLA). Currently, AGTech is the first commercial lottery company in Hong Kong to become a member of the WLA and the APLA. We are very heartened by this milestone achievement and consider that the above admission signifies an internationally authoritative recognition of the important contribution made by AGTech in China’s lottery industry in past years. As WLA and APLA member, AGTech will continue to facilitate responsible gaming and to keep it on a course of continuous improvement.

About the World Lottery Association (WLA)

WLA is the professional association of the worldwide government-controlled lottery and sports-betting sector with headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. It supports global standards for lottery management, security and social responsibility, and provides educational and other services to gaming operators and suppliers. WLA seeks to improve the public’s understanding of responsible gaming issues and the role of lotteries in securing funds for good causes. It works with the regional lottery associations to represent the collective interests of its members and foster constructive relationships with worldwide sports federations and other international organizations.

WLA currently represents more than 140 government-controlled lottery and sports-betting operators from over 90 countries with combined sales in excess of US$180 billion. More than 60 gaming suppliers are associate members of the WLA.

About the Asia Pacific Lottery Association (APLA)

Formed in 2000, APLA is one of the five regional associations of the World Lottery Association (WLA). APLA represents 25 members from 10 countries in the Asia Pacific region; namely Australia, China (including Hong Kong), French Polynesia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand. Between them, these members recorded an annual combined lottery turnover in excess of US$36 billion in 2007, representing over 16% of worldwide lottery sales.

APLA aims to advance the goals and collective interests of its members and enhancing the capability, common knowledge and status of individual APLA members.
